+1Would love to limit the number of connections to my users who have decided to share their credentials with family and friends.
not to be rude, but if you canât trust people you share with, then perhaps you shouldnât be sharing with them at all.
there is nothing worse than a person who take advantage of another person. time to grow some horns and tell them to stop or give them the boot.+1 Iâve been hoping for this feature for a long time.
@âstevie.â, as @craig91 said, it shouldnât be something we need to monitor. It also has nothing to do with trust. Some people donât even realize theyâre sharing it. Iâd rather be watching a show than checking up on everyone. Plex absolutely needs this.
I had it happen recently where my Dad signed in on someoneâs TV to watch something and didnât think to sign out. He never intended to share the access but the other person now is complaining when things donât work to my Dad. He politely told them it wasnât supposed to stay on and thatâs a whole thing now between them. I donât know what device to nuke in the settings since people use a range of devices.
Your dad should just change his PW of his account.
They released it. YAY now to get it so i can set ut for each individual user and not a global setting
does this feature not affect the administrator/owner of the server?
I just played the same movie locally, on tmobile data on my phone and my computer at work.

I would start paying yearly again for this feature alone. I stopped paying because development is going nowhere at the moment.
I guess I had to put my money were my mouth is ![]()
Implemented=subscribed again
Thank you Plex Team
So this has been implemented? Is it only for Plex Pass? If so I will subscribe. Just learning how to add friends to server and my only concern is people going hog crazy with it. Would like to limit each friend to 2 streams.
It is. You can find it in Settings/Server/Network.
I think it still has glitches but for the most part it seems it works.
I guess I got happy too soon
Somehow, the number of streams/user is not enforced. I still see some users with 2 streams at once, even tho I limited the max streams to 1/user.

I think that is more of an issue with the now playing screen as I have yet seen the server let 2 streams play if I have the limit set to 1. That is unless I am using the admin account as that account isnât limited by the setting
Might be the now playing screen. Being a direct play stream, on both occasions I could not check if both were playing in the same time.
I can see sometimes even my own streams being displayed in the now playing screen even after I closed them.
People said this has been implemented? I donât see the options, looked under settings/server/network and I cant see anything about limiting it. On Version 1.5.5.3634
+1 x 1000
I have some users that I need to limit and others I donât.

very good feautureâŠ
Is there any plex pass demo for testing this???
This is only for plex home users? (I mean, MAX 15 users?)
+1 Need this !!!
Number of concurrent streams for friends/users is a must!

Definitely useful feature
+1 this is a great idea.
for the longest time i had no idea how someone could be watching two movies at the same time.
edit: just found plexSentry (link). needs some technical skills, but works pretty well.
Awesome. Thanks
