Locast is a great, free way of streaming your local channels. It would be awesome to have a direct integration with Plex so we have an option other than the HDhomerun if we want to stream local channels.
We are now using Locast before we cannot get any antenna reception. However, we have had to use a different DVR provider for this (that also support HDHomerun, locast and TVEverywhere). It would really round this LiveTV feature off it it was expanded to support these other services,

I am using 2 HDHomerun twin tuners (4 tuners total) and I have trouble with local reception sometimes. Locast looks like a wonderful solution to me. Iād like it if Locast could be added as another tuner. Iād make it my primary tuner. If there could be a way to have Locast be multiple tuners, even better!

There is a Locast2Plex integration that runs a service in the background that makes Plex detect Locast as HD Homerun with I believe 4 tuners.
NOTE: It does require you to be a $5/mo "Donor" (pronounced /sÉbĖskrÄ«bÉr/)

But aside from that, official Plex support would be nice, or even a Plugin, though Plex got rid of those officially they can still be manually added
@LostOnTheLine, that is what I use now. It gets the job done but Iāve found it a bit buggy at times. Not to mention its another thing I have to maintain on my network. The containers are the only thing I have gotten to work.
Yeah, I donāt really want to run Docker for it. Iām currently looking at a āRun as a windows serviceā setup

None that I have heard of so far. Frankly I would find more value in Locast support in place of the half broke paid release of PlexArcade
100% I see no value in much of their new offerings at all! zeroā¦ I use other aps for music, news, blogs etcā¦ but I would happily pay 5~10 bucks for a locast hook!
Me too. PlexArcade has actually decreased my overall perception of Plex as a company. The amount of issues it has makes me wonder how well they tested this before its release.
Try installing Python3 and running the locast2plex script!

Channels DVR supports both Locast (for local channels) and Philo (for a respectable variety of cable channels) by simply adding them to the source list. Iām currently trying out this setup and hope to get rid of cable soon. For me, Plex would be preferable to Channels if it supported these services directly, but unfortunately they donāt yet. Hopefully up the road???
