When I am browsing my images either individually or using the slideshow play button, I would like to have my music play as well. I am using the web browser interface.
I can already play my music and navigate through other screens such at TV, Movies, and Music (as long as do not click play) without interruption of the music playback. This makes sense for files that would possibly have audio, but images files cannot have audio, so why can I not view an image without affecting my audio playback?

Have you tried this with Plex Media Player? Maybe it’s better at multi-tasking (or something). Top of the forum/Downloads/Get an app. It’s free and way better for watching things.
Can you open another instance of Plexweb? I can. I just put 5 into action all playing something different by right clicking the task bar icon and pulling up another browser window, then clicking my Plexweb bookmark. You can put a Plexweb in as many tabs as you want as well. May get a little confusing, but there you go.
(I often open a Plexweb when I’ve got a music shuffle going and wonder ‘who the heck is that?’ Plexweb/Status/Now Playing - mystery solved)
Note: I just tried to open two PMPs and that definitely didn’t work, but you could open a PMP and a Plexweb or three.
Apologies, although the solution provided would work for the web-interface, I am looking for this feature within the android app & even more so, the Roku app. When using these apps, I cannot simply start another instance and am left with either music or photos, but not both.
