Feature Request: Show "trash can" icon on individual TV episodes that are missing a file

Server Version#: 1.43.0.10231
Player Version#: N/A
Steps to recreate:

  1. Create a TV show library
  2. Add one show with at least one season
  3. Delete one of the files for one random episode
  4. Rescan the library

Expected results:

The TV show entry on the library root shows “trash can” icon, indicating a missing file from that show.
The season entry on the TV show screen shows a “trash can” icon, indicating a missing file from that season.
The episode entry on the season screen shows a “trash can” icon, indicating a missing file from that episode.

Actual results:

We only see the trash can icon on the TV show entry, and the season entry. Meaning one has to view info on every episode to find out which one lost a file.

Please define the type of Plex client where you see this behavior.

Excellent catch. I see this in the web UI browsing the library content. I don’t see any trash icons on any entries in the other players. Plex Dash (at least on Android) doesn’t show individual content, so its not relevant there.

Are these episodes which consist of more than one file?

Usually yes, that is the case. Most of my media has two files, original and mobile optimized.

Movie entries always show the trash can if they have multiple files and one or more files are missing. I just want the TV episode entries to behave exactly like the movie entries.
