it’s actually implemented exactly as described in the discussion when you access the collection from a movie’s pre-play screen. The movies displayed in the related collections section aren’t displayed alphabetically but by release date. This is by the way the same for other related movies or on deck… e.g. if Plex is displaying movies of the same year/decade.
I’m aware it’s different when filtering the entire library by collections… however I suppose we need to consider that in that case we still have the specific setting of how we want to sort the view.
don’t get me wrong… I’m very much for improving / adjusting how collections are being used – there’s already tons of feature requests about that. However I don’t think I want the library view itself to dynamically change order or other aspects (e.g. changing from poster to list view when showing movies by director/actor).
