Currently Plex forces me to put some recordings in a “Series” library and others in a “movies” library. This is total overkill for my usecase and makes Plex’s dvr feature very annoying to use.
What I want to do is have a single “other videos” library called “TV Recordings” which I then use as target for all recordings.
Plex should realy give the user the choice where to store recordings and not enforce 2 libraries.
I think I’ve seen some actual feature suggestions where users have asked for an option to have mixed-content libraries. Given how Plex’ handling of your media depends on the different library types, I’m not sure that’ll make a great user experience.
