Film exists on IMDB, but isn't fetched

I want to start with: I do follow the naming and folder schemes.https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-movie-media-files/

I have a buttload of Youtube Videos on my Plex Server. Mostly very well done Essays from Dan Olson (Folding Ideas) and indeed they are on IMDB.

For example In Search of a Flat Earth from 2020 or This is Financial Advice from 2023.

My Folder and Naming Scheme:

• Plex/Filme/In Search of a Flat Earth (2020)
• Plex/Filme/This is Financial Advice (2023)

It’s correctly set in the Movie Folder, I can play it but these and a bunch of other of his Videos are not updated with Metadata correctly.

I’m not sure what I am doing wrong I mean it shows up on IMDB, is correctly tagged and so is my Stuff. So what gives?

I did some tests, didn’t even get it to recognize correctly in my Movies library.

But…. I did create this in my TV library

(tv library)/Folding Ideas (2011)/Folding Ideas (2011) - S10E04 - In Search Of A Flat Earth.mp4

And it recognized it correctly. The Folding Ideas series is in TVDB. I did have to set this show to use TVDB episode ordering.

I did the same thing for the Financial Advice link you posted and it recognized it fine.

That isnt a movie. both of your links are links to episodes of the tv show “Folding Ideas”
