Find where to watch something with "Discover" and your "Watchlist"

This sounds great! I would love to get into the public beta.

@arobe79 I’m sure whatever service you use has their own privacy policy and won’t share their user data with us. As soon as you click the button and leave plex we have no idea if you actually watched the thing you selected on the external service

@refringe just make sure your player apps are updated to latest.

Are these options saved per player/app or per user account?

Hey BW since you’re here, we can’t click on Actors. Is that intentional or bug?

You will see same results on all clients, so it’s on user level.

UPDATE - Submitted as a feature request.

as far as I am aware it is a know limitation on the universal details page until we get “actor pages” which will list all things an actor is in.

The regular details page from your library just filter that library on that actor. The universal details page is not part of your library that is why.

I also just use the main account for admin purposes only. I’d love this feature for managed users

Integration to Crave not working correctly on Android. Selecting a Crave feature opens Google Play and offers option of which Crave app to use. When you select the Crave streaming app, Crave opens but the selected feature is dropped. You need to initiate another search inthe Crave app to view the show/movie

#discover #watchlist

I see, cool. Hopefully atleast we get to see the phase where actors complete works are shown, just like watch.plex.tv in future.

Would love a way to show movies we bought on services like Microsoft, Apple, Google so we can see everything in one place. So not just a watchlist but also owned, etc…

Can we make it so that streaming from other sources does not show by default? Using a Roku client there is no option not to show other sources when I search. I do not have “Discover” pinned to the side bar. Searching for instance for “Wayne’s World” when I type “Wayne” it shows actors first then other streaming services show the movie. It is not until I fully type the title that the movie on my server shows up. My family, friends, and I use Plex for MY content, NOT content from another streaming service. If a user wants content, I add it to the server. There needs to be a way to totally hide streaming options from other sources. At least on Roku, this does not appear to be the case.

Thank you ! got it now

It’s been requested here, do cast your vote: Way to add movies we own digital copies of to Discover

Hmm. I’m not sure if that is intentional. I think your server content is supposed to show up first even with a partial match. I will bring it up with folks

FWIW, launching discovery+ from an item in the watchlist on Apple TV results in an error saying it can’t find the associated app. when I click the “Search the App Store” button, it is searching for “Discovery Plus” and apparently tvOS is expecting “Discovery+”

Am I understanding wrong, or are other users able to click through the menus and it will take them to the app where the searched movie can be streamed from? All I get is a page saying “Linking to content within other apps is currently unavailable. You will unfortunately have to go direct to the correct app to play this content. Below is a list of where you can watch this content.”. I don’t see what the point is then?
Not sure if i’m doing something wrong? Would love some advice.

On the roku it is unfortunately not available because deeplinking (the tech to open other apps) is not available on Roku. As far as I am aware we are trying to get Roku to allow it.

Can PM you with a video of the behavior of the Roku app if needed. Would really like to only see what is on my server, not other streaming sources. Maybe add something to the Roku settings to only show “media libraries” and not “more ways to watch”? I have elderly parents that already have a hard time with tech, now it is overwhelming them with options. Thanks for any help you can provide.
