Fire Stick Will not Resume

I have tested this on other devices my computer and a Samsung TV it works correctly. But on the latest update to the Plex Player on my Fire TV Stick 2.0 will not resume any playback. It will start from the beginning no matter what. This has been happening ever since the latest update to the fire tv applicaion.

I am having the same issue. I have multiple devices and only resume on the Fire TV app fails. I tested with various episodes and movies. I also tried my other devices / interfaces and all worked except for Fire TV. This was after the latest Plex App update for Fire TV. I’m currently running 8.15.0.23855

I have exactly the same issue that started as soon as I updated to the server software that removed On Deck.
Also my Continue Watching doesn’t obey the settings of the server anymore and only shows about 10 episodes.
Really annoying.

Same problem here. This seems to have started after I updated the app a few days ago. I also noticed it tends to crash a bit more, though I have noticed an actual pattern there. However, resume does not work at all.

I’m downloading a firestick update… maybe it will change something

I doubt its because i dont have firestick new IOS

They change it 2-3 months ago and i choose to install it later… and now i cant find how to install it

Same issue, but also JUST finished setting up my server and devices, so thought it was me. Resume works on other devices, but not on either FireStick. Made sure the server and apps were all fully up to date as well.

Just want to add that this is also my experience. And since I have a house full of Fire Sticks, it’s pretty gosh darn annoying

After trying everything from deleting app data and clearing cache, to re-installing the Fire Plex app. Finally, found this little tweak. After selecting your show/movie, don’t click on Resume right away. First navigate away to another button, say Play from beginning, and then come back to the Resume button and click.

This has worked for me, but there is still a bug nonetheless in the latest version of Plex app.
