I have an Amazon Fire stick and Plex server on my windows computer. Issues started about a year ago and just have been dealing with it. It started with an issue where media wouldn’t resume and instead start over. After about 2 or 3 tries, it would typically resume and be fine after that. Then eventually resuming also caused crashes. The crashing now happens often when resuming and sometimes takes up to 5 tries to finally get it to play. When it crashes, the entire Plex app restarts. It’s very annoying. I guess I’ve just been hoping that an update would fix it one day. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app on the Firestick but it still happens. Tested running plex on my mobile phone and the issues dont seem to occur there so it seems to be an issue with the firestick/plex player there and not a server issue as far as i can tell. Also sometimes when starting a movie, the audio is off. Closing the movie and replaying seems to correct this issue as well.
