Resume starts from beginning on Fire Stick

Player Version#: 8.15.2.24006

Since I updated my server and the Fire TV Plex Client upgraded to 18.15.0 the Resume facility does not work 99 times out of 100. Programs just start from the beginning. This is the case for TV series, Movies and Movies & Shows on Plex.

I manually updated to Player Version 8.15.2 as the Amazon App Store doesn’t offer it yet and the problem remains.

I have a Fire TV Stick, an original Fire TV box and a Fire 10 Tablet and they all have the same issue.

I thought I was the only one. I have this problem as well. Works on my browser/computer, but ANY resumes fail on my Fire Stick.
Uninstall/reinstall of the app did not fix.

Fire Stick Will not Resume

After trying everything from deleting app data and clearing cache, to re-installing the Fire Plex app. Finally, found this little tweak. After selecting your show/movie, don’t click on Resume right away. First navigate away to another button, say Play from beginning, and then come back to the Resume button and click. This has worked for me, but there is still a bug nonetheless in the latest version of Plex app.

Exact same problem here. The resume function is not working on any of my Fire devices since last update.

The system also doesn’t remember un-pinning categories. I created a new category on the server, which remains visible on all devices no matter how often I un-pin them.
