Fix [Unknown Album] in music library

Hi, I would like to know if someone knows how to fix [Unknown Album] in music library.
I checked for inconsistent tags but all seems to be correct, all files are in FLAC format.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Little tip: If you have lots of bootlegs etc. you want to bring your embedded metatags into order first. Then you need to have the Local Media Assets agent in top position. I wouldn’t trust last.fm to fetch correct info about bootlegs and special editions of albums, like those recent expanded re-releases of Zappa albums. Put as much info into the meta tags as possible. First of all thank you for answer.

- How are your files named?
files are named Track n. - Title.flac

- Did you put them into a folder structure?
The folder structure is /Artist/Album/Track N. - Title
Multi-disc structure is: /Artist/Album/CD Disc n./Track N. - Title

- How did you ‘tag’ your files?
I use Mp3Tag and MusicBee, other than common tags like Artist, Title, Album etc…, I store other album informations in some less common tags like Original Year and in completely custom tags.

- Is this an album that is rather obscure?
The album title is quite common but since I have different versions of the same album I usually title albums this way: Album Title [version text ex. “Remastered” or “Limited Edition” and so on].

- Do you know the correct album title yourself?
I’m not sure about what you mean but yes, I keep a very precise and consistent music library.

Your folder structure is perfect. The track names will work, as long as you have correct meta tags.

May I ask which file format you are using in your library?
Because Plex can read meta tags only from some file formats.

Since you are meticulously tagging your files, it is best to tell Plex that it shall use your meta tags as the primary means to ‘match’ your music.
How to do that, is covered in the second half of the 2nd link posted above.

Custom tags are not read by Plex.
If you want complete control over what Plex is recognizing as an ‘Album’, you should absolutely use and populate the standard tags for

• Disc #
• Track #
• Album Artist (only necessary if one or more tracks on an album use a ‘track artist’ that is different from the album artist)
• Album Title (Must be absolutely identical in every track in one album. Things like ‘Disc 1’ or “disc names” don’t belong in here.)
• Track Artist
• Release year/date

After making the configuration changes in the Agent and library properties, perform the Plex Dance with all albums of one particular Album Artist.
