[FIXED] DVR Schedule went empty the week of May 29

you telling me i need to recreate my DVR recordings all over again after just doing it yesterday.
I seen all shows listed as scheduled but all gone again today.
This is BS.

I am still running windows 8.1 so have not been updating the server as latest requires win 10. I hope this is not going to be one of those changes that break old software.

I am also having this issue and also deleted my whole dvr yesterday. Is there a fix for this yet. Using Docker on the latest official build. Please, I don’t have time to recreate all my recordings daily.

This is what we get for being actual paying customers. The one feature that we pay extra for is perpetually broken in one way or another.

I’m having same problem. I’ve deleted the ignored schedule items and rebuilt it (yuck, I had 100’s of impacted scheduled shows and movies). All was rebuilt over the last few days. Today, most of my schedule again was removed, sigh. So, I’m impacted badly too. I have not deleted the DVR and recreated it yet, but that’s my next move. I am really hoping that this is not a long term issue.

Synology DS3617xs using Plex server, multiple different HDHomerun tuners accessing OTA in San Francisco Bay area.

Don’t recreate the dvr, that doesn’t help. What helped me was to unchecking refresh of program guide data in dvr settings and then you can delete and recreate all of your recordings. Good luck.

Also where is Plex? Starting to believe Linus about this program.

Still having issues here. I noticed that I had recordings this week that said no upcoming airing and did not record still.

For instance, Fear The Walking Dead was not scheduled to record on this Sunday. The Blacklist did not record this past Thursday. And then if I’m able to create a new Series recording, it will show up as a scheduled recording. Like I just did with Fear The Walking Dead. But the Blacklist is not in the guide yet, for June 22nd, for me to schedule a new series recording.

The fix for this was not in Plex Media Server but on the backend data ingestion systems. So the version of the server should not come into it.

The fix went live on the 1st June. A DVR Guide refresh on the 2nd June or later would have the fix.

The problem came in on the 25th May. It is only scheduled recordings that were created during the period 25th may to 1st June need to be deleted and re-created (after the DVR Guide refresh is completed on the 2nd June).

Any existing TV Shows scheduled recordings made before the 25th May or from the 2nd June after a Guide Refresh should be ok.

I would need diagnostics to investigate, See below

I will need diagnostics - see below

I will need diagnostics to investigate

Diagnostics to investigate new cases of ā€œNo Upcoming Airingsā€

Assuming that any schedules created between 25th May and 1st June inclusive were deleted and recreated on the 2nd June or later

I need the following to investigate

  • Country / Zip Code / Lineup name (appears in DVR Settings)
  • TV Show / Episodes / Movie with the problem
  • Channel number and channel name where the airings are
  • Debug Server logs captured after a Guide Refresh is completed
  • DVR Schedule / DVR Priority screenshots showing the problem and indicating which has the problem

and if you can - get me the responses to these requests - made in a browser and responses copied into text files

http://ip-address-of-server:32400/media/subscriptions?X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxx
and
http://ip-address-of-server:32400/media/subscriptions/scheduled?X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Replace ip-address-of-server with the actual ip address
Replace xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the server token - see Finding an authentication token / X-Plex-Token | Plex Support

You can zip these files and send me privately in a PM if you prefer

I’m assuming my issue had to do with setting up recordings during that week? So recordings weren’t being made. So I setup some new ones to replace the ones that weren’t being recorded. But then a week later, the new ones I setup were no good too. So I guess I needed to set them up again.

Unfortunately I have no idea exactly which shows I setup again to record. I’ll just need to check it periodically.

If this is happening, please get me the diagnostics detailed in my earlier post here [FIXED] DVR Schedule went empty the week of May 29 - #28 by sa2000

I just saw this. Sorry. I’ve got too many shows setup to record anyway. It’s time I pare things down from the 150 or so shows I have setup. Since I don’t watch much content from cable or OTA anymore anyway.

The main content I watch is recording. I’m sure there are things not recording, but since I haven’t missed watching them, I guess it’s not a big deal.

Is there a quick way to clear out the DVR schedule? Instead of deleting shows one at a time.

There isn’t a purge all schedules option. Each Show scheduled recording would need to be cancelled
