The TestFlight beta that I was asked to test does resolve the issue. So the problem should be resolved on the next release.

Just on the player side. The server doesnât need any changes.

It should have been an immediate rollback!
Plex needs to stop putting untested beta code in production releases. And to fix goofs like this, immediately put out a new version, thatâs the same as the one they just replaced. Fix your mistakes on your own time, in the beta releases, thatâs the whole point of it, Plex! Oh but you know this, you STILL use us as beta testers for you, your production users.
Sad to report that TestFlight beta only partially fixes the issue for me. Files now play without receiving the warning, but colours are displaying as pink and green. Anyone else experiencing this?

Could you send me your app and server logs after reproducing this issue? This seems like the app or server isnât correctly identifying the media.

For anyone who is still getting the error message after updating.
Just an note that solution did not work for me initially after updating the app directly via the Apple TV. I had to delete and then re-install. Once I re-installed the app and linked, that solved the issue.
I ran into the same error on a samsung TV. Reinstalling the app did not help. Is there any new information about the problem?
Samsung TVs do not support DolbyVision playback, and Profile 5 doesnât have a HDR fallback, so that is the correct message for that device.

I have tried the delete and download latest version including the fix profile 5 error
But still got this message File is unplayable. DoVi (Profile 5) color space is not supported.
The same for me. Latest version (4.145.1) is running on Synology NAS server but this message comes up with the latest movies.
I got the error again last night. It was fixed for a while with the latest update. But somehow last night the error came up again in my ATV
I also got the error this morning, using Edge browser.
For me, disabling the âAutomatically adjust qualityâ option in Plex settings on my Apple TV solved this issue. I can see now the Dolby Vision logo when the video starts playing. I hope this helps.
