Fixing TV show episode order and metadata on watch.plex.tv

I created this post as a request to update/correct the following metadata aspects of the Paw Patrol TV show on watch.plex.tv. I’d like to use the newer Plex TV scanning agent, but it always matches the episodes incorrectly.

1.) Episode Order: It appears that the order of the episodes in multiple seasons is incorrect when compared to multiple external sources. (For example TVDB, Paw Patrol Fandom, Wikipedia). It seems like aligning with the Episode numbering/order on TVDB would make the most sense.

2.) Episode Posters: Could the episode posters be updated to match the opening episode names? It seems like some of them are correct, however many others are just a still image taken from the episode. These can all be pulled from pawpatrol.fandom.com. (For example the image for S01E01 can be downloaded here: https://pawpatrol.fandom.com/wiki/Pups_Make_a_Splash.

I realize I’m asking for a lot of episodes to be corrected here, and am fine with investing time to help if that’s possible. Does https://watch.plex.tv/ allow for community suggestions/updates? Or is a post like this the only way to get that content updated?

Plex uses The Movie Database as it’s primary source for metadata which is what is shown on watch.plex.tv.

PAW Patrol

When you create a library on your Plex Server, you have the choice of which episode order to use for the entire library.

• The Movie Database (what is shown on watch.plex.tv)
• TheTVDB (not shown on watch.plex.tv)

Or you can even change the episode ordering for each individual show.

Ah okay, thanks.

I also learned that TMDB orders episodes by their TV Air-date rather than the production order. That’s why there’s a difference.
