Fling Media to Plex don't work on 1.45.0.3013

Player Version#:1.45.0.3013

Since the update to 1.45.0.3013 on Plex for Windows, the Fling media option don’t work from my mobile App (iPadOS and IOS) on the same network. I don’t see the player in the Fling/Cast list

  • I still can cast on google cast
  • my windows PC is on a wired network but on the same wifi network (no NAT) that i use for my iPad or iPhone
  • The reverse action is working, I can fling media from my PC to my mobile device.

I roll back to bring back the 1.45.0.3013 version. The Fling option is working again.

From the related release announcements for Plex for Windows and Plex Web:

  • Remove support for being controlled as a companion player. Use Plex for HTPC for remote control playback on the desktop.

yeah they removed the feature, gotta stick to an old version of plex for windows or download plex for HTPC, I’ll be using an old version for now Plex-1.41.0.2876-e960c9ca-x86_64( switching back to maximized from fullscreen)
