Player Version#:
When trying to build my library from 18 drives, I get the Drives to select from, but there are no folders listed, such as my MOVIES and TVShows… So I am not getting anything added. I just upgraded my server from OS Linux Mint 19.3 to Linux Mint 21.1, both where 64bit and the Cinnamon flavor. On my previous server, all I need was to click on the drive and then scroll up and choose the appropriate folder that contained my video’s.
Dont use mint, its not a supported platform
I have been using it for over 3 years no problem, till now upgrading from 19.3 to 21.1
Which Distro is highly reccomended?
Ubuntu (16.04+) / Debian (8+) - Intel 32-bit
Ubuntu (16.04+) / Debian (8+) - Intel/AMD 64-bit
Ubuntu (16.04+) / Debian (8+) - ARMv8
Ubuntu (16.04+) / Debian (8+) - ARMv7
Fedora (27+) / CentOS (7+) / SUSE (15+) - Intel 32-bit
Fedora (27+) / CentOS (7+) / SUSE (15+) - Intel/AMD 64-bit
Are the supported Linux distros. Mint has a history of odd behavior
Thank you for that. Since I am changing OS, may as well go with one that best suites Plex!
I keep seeing this claim, but I too have been using Plex on Mint for years with no issues that can be attributed to the OS.
I would double-check the permissions on those folders. I don’t know why they might have gotten changed, but I’ve never seen anything else block them from appearing.
The problem here is permissions.
