After all the years I’ve had plex, and all the hours I’ve spent trying to solve an incredibly simple problem, I still cannot find an answer to the individual photo thumbnail issue. All I want to do is to load a new version of a particular photo (e.g. edited externally to increase the brightness), and keeping all other metadata the same, just show a thumbnail for the new file version. Why is this not the simplest thing for a modern application to do?
The plex dance is a sledgehammer to crack a nut, and using terminal command line is just an admission that the app is not fit for purpose. All I want to do is change one photo, and have the thumbnail represent to the version loaded. Am I missing something obvious?
