@sa2000 Just redone the DVR and huge fail! Wales OTA broadcast is more like, I just cannot bring myself to say it and I had sent 5 updates using the form…
Algorithms have a lot to answer for as I’m definitely considering dropping off Plex altogether. As I said earlier, even using Gracenote we never had this much of an issue!!
Fix and fix quick, Wales OTA is so out of date it’s killing me!!!

@sa2000 First off, I’m not seeing BBC1 WALES AS YOU ARE!! I’m seeing B1W and that’s it!! Mapping doesn’t map everything as yours has, so huge fail everywhere, channels in wrong places second fail, and old channels third fail!!
Algorithms have to stop, this is really had, ITV should be ITV Wales not Network! We are getting the wrong guide.

I have just delted and readded my DVR
One plus is as default (post code DL2), it doesnt think i am in London anymore, to cancel out the positive, it now thinks i am in Scotland
Selected the local OTA lineup, which looks very similar to when i last had it, but on setting it up, after matching 2 pages i am now missing E4, it thinks this is another copy of Channel 4, i gave up spending an hour again matching after this
I dont have much time today as i am going out from lunchtime, but this needs fixing fast
This is pathetic that the basics can be got so wrong
@paulsalter also Pop Max is listed as Kix! And we’re missing Home and yeah I noticed the 2 Channel 4’s to.
If Plex want this to work and they’re pushing it out fast now to, I’ve had an email from them wanting, no urging users to upgrade to get the latest EPG. Seems there only bothered about the USA viewers and nobody else, is becoming a total farcical event…

Fix fast, and before @sa2000 says fill the page in, I have done 6 times now, the last one being part night with the latest EPG for Freeview on it from June 20th!! Why don’t they listen? @cire12 says they are? Can we see proof… Not at the present time!! Channels are still crypto, missing channels and we will have Irish channels in the lineup… Algorithms stink, and don’t belong in an EPG system.

Here is a new EPG, there are many errors/things missing/things mislabelled etc, but if you let us know what is wrong we will fix it

Well, this is another one for the book, I’ve got 2 5+1 channels, at least with the Freeview Play lineup I didn’t have this either! I doubt they’ll listen, in my eyes they’re only listening to the American market! Emby is looking more the likely go to media server if things aren’t fixed.

I have already said that there are still errors relating to E4 and Home - see my earlier post Freeview EPG/Missing Channel Data - #52 by sa2000
You should get the same channels as I got when selecting the free view Wales OTA lineup. You will not see the same detailed text because we have not updated the released beta to include the fix for the cryptic names. B1W and B2W are bbc 1 and 2 wales - just accept the defaults and it should only have the issue with E4 and Home and a few other omissions

Irish channels should not appear if you deselect the preselected national lineup and switch to the local OTA freeview broadcast lineup for your region
Missing channels should now be very few and I mentioned E4 and Home already - you do have E4+1. Any more missing let me know and you would have also fed back via the form

Come on, this is a basic feature of a DVR, the channels should be correct from day one
Dont know who this new provider is, but you need to get rid of them and go with a provider that knows what they are doing
As for the cryptic names, what you showed earlier is an improvement, but we need to get rid of the part in brackets and name them properly
eg
001 B1W (BBC 1 - Wales)
This should just read
001 BBC 1 Wales
The first crpytic letters (that are meaningless) are not needed

Sad to see that Plex cannot be bothered to research there own market to get data correct
There are too many issues for me to report all of them
Plex’s loss, if they cannot be bothered, then neither can i, plenty of other places willing to take my money
I think we need both as it would not be that clear as in this example for all lineups and for all countries. With both showing it is a safer option
@paulsalter This is where I’m stuck, I’ve a Plex lifetime pass, so stuck with the issues and reporting them, but I’ve reported this one that @sa2000 is talking about, with location, post code etc with a complete lineup and web addresses of where to get the lineup from, so if he wants me to say I’m being singled out, then so be it!
Either way, by the time everyone has the new server, that runs live TV, they will be snowed under with more annoyed users, worse than we are!!
@sa2000 please check the page addition I sent in, all channels are there, it’s not rocket science to fix it is it? Or as @paulsalter said can’t you be bothered?
England is regional, algorithms don’t work for this country, as you’re beginning to find out very quickly, look at my post for updated lineups for Wenvoe and the surrounding area of South Wales not Ireland or Borders as the OTA States in algorithm land

What i am looking for now, is for any regression from before to now. So what channels appeared before and were matched that are no longer appearing and what channels are incorrectly named when selecting the Freeview Wales OTA Broadcast lineup
@sa2000 trust me, both are confusing the hell out of users! BBC1 Wales or BBC1WA is far better than this and as for ITV2 listed as I21 abs 2 channel 4 where E4 & E4+1 should be, it’s a mess. Sony Movie Channel is another.
So suck it up buttercup and fix the region’s quickly!!
You were the one asking us to use the local OTA lineups instead of the others, and this is regional algorithm mess

Yes - use the local OTA lineup and and accept the default matching
You would only be missing E4 / Home / moviews4men+1 and few others until the provider corrects these and the changes feed through. I mentioned you would have E4+1 so still having access to E4
But what does having B1W or any other term mean, it’s a pointless addition

In Wales everyone has BBC 1 Wales
In Scotland everyone has BBC 1 Scotland
In NI everyone has BBC 1 NI
In England there are variations on this
BBC 1 North East
BBC 1 South East
BBC 1 North West
You get the idea
It’s is perfectly clear what the channel is using the proper name that everyone knows, we do not need shortened cryptic letters to describe the channel
