Hello, I’ve linked my friend to my Plex-Library. He can watch my films on his pc (runs well). However when he is using the plex-app on his iPad and want to stream the content to his TV using his Apple-Tv it does’nt work. Is anyone familiair with that problem?

ATV4 has Plex app
I have ATV4 but have never tried to airplay Plex. If you have a supported device with the official app installed you can ‘cast’ Plex unto the device.
Hi, thanks for your reaction. It concerns ATV3. It is an supported device and he downloaded the Plex App… So my question still stands. Hope someone has the answer
ATV3 is not an officially supported device by Plex. Not sure where he may have “downloaded” the Plex App from as the ATV 3 does not have an App Store.

Is your friend trying to AirPlay to the TV? Have you tried AirPlaying something else, like a YouTube video?
Also, why not look into setting up PlexConnect for ATV 3, that way your friend won’t need to use the Plex iPad app.
