I am running PMS on unRAID and recently had a USB crash and had to reinstall PMS etc. I have done this before without issue, however I can no longer find the friends list and it seems to have changed to manage library access. I go to add someone back to new server and it says we are already friends, however he is not listed on the page and cannot access server. Others who I granted access to worked fine that had access to the server previously.
Does anyone know where the friends list in plex went? Does it still exist anywhere? How can I remove him so I can add him again?
That’s the way to see the full list of your users, and I agree it is strangely hidden. But it may be helpful to know that Plex Home users and Friends have been separated in the Settings area.
The BIG problem i’ve ran across is Plex now allows people to change their usernames. This in fact also changes their usernames on the Plex server! I have no idea who my friends are with names like Ab9392 who is that ??? There does not appear to be any way to find this out either. My only current option is to disable all those accounts and wait for my friends to txt me or email me saying their plex don’t work anymore then I can reactivate their account once they tell me what their username is. MOST did not change their usernames Plex did that automatically for them which in turn makes the administrator of their own plex server baffled as to who the user actually is.
So my question is: does anyone know how to tell who a user is that Plex automatically changed their usernames (or if a user changes their name) ???
