"Plex Home" and "Manage Library Access"

I think separating Plex Home from Friends is a good thing. I hope it will cut down on the incidents of people ceding control of their Plex Home by accepting an invitation to someone else’s Plex Home.

I was investigating someone else’s issue in a forum post, and was confused by the “Manage Library Access” page, where it appeared that some of my users were gone (which is what the other user was reporting). When I finally noticed the new “Plex Home” section in settings and clicked on it, I realized what had been done, and the issue became clear.

However, I was not helped by the naming of the sections. “Plex Home” was obvious once I clicked on it, but “Manage Library Access” gives me the impression that all library access could be managed from there, as has been the case until this change.

I think the confusion would be alleviated by renaming “Manage Library Access” to “Plex Friends,” and maybe even creating a new heading to further clarify their purpose, like this:

Thanks. We are aware of the confusion this has caused. As far as I know there are already plans to help remedy it though I don’t know when exactly it will update.

I absolutely agree with this recommendation. I’ve also noticed when creating some “Plex Home” accounts, users don’t have full library access even I have everything checked. Anyone else experiencing this?

So the libraries are not showing or so do you mean they are not seeing everything in library? Is a restriction profile like Young Kid

I have 4 users assigned under “Plex Home”. All are able to see/watch libraries I’ve assigned except for one recently created user. Actually, this user is able to see/watch assigned libraries only on one device. Not sure if this is by design with a “Managed Account” under “Plex Home?

Managed accounts can only exist in a Plex Home. They should be able to access on any device but that device needs to be able to signed into by someone else in Plex Home first then the account switched since managed accounts don’t have passwords or emails.

If they are signed into the device with their account via the user picker do they not even see the server or libraries after clicking MORE on the home screen sidebar?
