Full Screen on Pixel 8 Pro is not full sreen as it avoids the camera cutout

The full screen playback is offset to the side as the player avoids the camera cutout. This is really annoying and no other vdeo app handles it like this. Is there anyway to change that besides activating and using external players in the advanced settings?
