You know, it actually isn’t easy to unplug the power for some people. I’ve dealt with some of them in my professional life. They mount their TV up on the wall and they don’t want the wires hanging out so they get everything connected and tied up neat and tidy in back – then when they need to check a connection or remove the power from something they claim they can’t do it because of their mounting decision. Of course these are the same people who do stuff like wall-up consumer-grade networking gear and then are stuck when it can’t be reached for servicing anymore. You could also connect the Fire Stick to a wi-fi outlet dongle and then use an app on your phone to cut power to the outlet without anyone having to get up.
Meanwhile, I am pretty certain rebooting the entire Fire Stick would have the same effect as meandering into Settings and the app management to kill one app, in 1/4 the “clicks” here. I’m also not sure how typing an entire script can be faster than holding two buttons on a remote for your device, but maybe you have this script pre-written and a macro set up so you can activate it with just one finger.
