The new updates seem to have broken support for Gen 1 Chromecast devices. When I try to cast from the new mobile app, my Chromecast just shows a black screen with a white spinner and then crashes.

Same here. Today’s update didn’t fix it.

Alas, same here. The android app says “Launching App On … TV” with a spinner, while the TV shows a grey screen with a spinner. Eventually, the app gives up and goes back to the show’s screen, and the TV goes back to the chromecast wallpaper/carrousel.

Having the same issue.

Downgraded the mobile app by loading version 10.26.0.2578 from apkmirror for and now it works again
