For Hard Knocks (2001), even when using fix match with the exact TVDB ID it is pulling metadata for “Hard Knocks In Season” which has a different TVDB ID and only has four seasons, leaving 20+ seasons and over 100 episodes of Hard Knocks as unmatched. Is it just a matter of TVDB removing the duplicate series or does something need to be fixed on the watch.plex database?

Looks like there might be some mix-up on Plex’s backend.
When searching the show(s) on watch.plex.tv, it’ll find an entry “Hard Knocks: In Season” as the show from 2001 – but even that page won’t load.
Maybe some confusion when some TMDB user recently added “Hard Knocks: In Season” as an alternative title for “Hard Knocks” (2001)… let’s see.
Thanks. I have put in a ticket with TVDB to get theirs cleaned up if that helps.
It’s cleaned up on TVDB now, should just be a matter of those changes matriculating down to plex in a couple days hopefully.
This still hasn’t updated in Plex yet … still totally messed up. Is there anything else that can be done? Thanks.
Do you know anyway to reach out and have this fix on the plex side? It’s still not matching with the correct series and now it shows the TVDB-Airing episode order as “unavailable”.
You already did. Though, I don’t know the status of a fix/correction.

The metadata team already knows about it when @tom80H reported it.
@ChuckPa can’t do anything to speed it up. it is a weird show with all sorts of issues because every source has it different info. Some like TVDB combining two shows into one.
To be clear tho TVDB has it correct. They aren’t combining two shows into one, TMDB is splitting one show into multiple.

No, it should be one show (like it is on TVDB). Plex is only allowing metadata from TMDB which has it split up into three different shows, and even that isn’t pulling correctly. All they need to do is allow us to manually set episode ordering to TVDB but it’s not available for this series.
