I have a strange problem with my Hauppauge SoloHD. When I initially installed it it was not possible to watch liveTV for channels which also have Teletext. When recording everything was fine so I did not care a lot. However, after some weeks this also happens while recording. I suspected a weak signal on the cable connection but this seems to be right. Has somebody any idea? Is it possible to disable Teletext completely?
Just found the .ts file is correct but the playback in Plex webapp or Android show the problem. If I play the .ts file with VLC all looks fine. Channels without Teletext also work perfectly.
At least in some players, teletext is interpreted as subtitles and can be turned off using the same controls.
Thanks, this solved the issue with the only problem I cannot use subtitles which is sometimes convenient with noisy kids 
Thanks for your help, feel a bit embarrassed I did not think of this myself.
For the record, I had this issue with Chrome for Linux, Chromecast and on my Android phone. Might be something in the file format maybe.

How? Where?
In the iOS app, for example: At the bottom of the pre-play screen you can tap “Audio” and “subtitles”. When playing a video you have the “…” button at the lower right corner ==> playback settings ==> subtitles.
