HD channels are being marked as SD rather than HD so when choosing “HD” only recordings, nothing is getting recorded for that channel. In the UK, BBC 1 SD is on channel 001 and that is being used for a recording instead of 101 which is BBC 1 HD.
Both SD and HD channels can be played and watched and the HD channel is clearly marked as HD in the EPG.
Anyone else having this problem?
Yes I am having the same issue. Also when I select filter HD only in the guide some of the channels state “Unknown Airing”

This seems to affect the “Prefer HD” option for recordings. I had to select the HD channel explicitly for now. This is not great because shows move channels sometimes and those will be missed.
I thought it was just me.
I noticed that a few of the programs that I was recording which should have been on the HD channels were being recorded on the SD versions.
I have temporarily gone into each recording and within advanced settings set the channel to the HD one as a temp fix.
I have also tried deleting my DVR and starting again but no help.
When you look at the listings on HD Channels only they mostly show as Empty so would suggest it is an EPG issue.
for me it looks like completely random. many sd versions marked as hd and the other way around. even some radiostations marked as hd
I have the same problem. Started last week. If I set them to “Prefer HD” they will show on the schedule and show as recording SD. HD channels are showing “Unknown Airing”
Same problem here. Continues with the latest experimental version of the server on Windows (1.22.2.4204). The problem also caused scheduled recordings to not occur - all of them vanishing from my “dvr schedule.” The dvr schedule is now populated on 4202. I’m hopeful this means my recordings will execute.
Me too. Problem started 3-18-2021. I did reboot, wipeout everything reinstall, just to find that the new install was not recording HD. Appear that guide data is indicated HD channels as SD.
I am also seeing this. I deleted and re-added my tuner. I tried filtering only HD and it only showed 1 channel. Then I rebooted Plex and am getting the exact same Unknown airing message for all but the one channel. I didnt have anything set to record last Friday so I’m assuming it started the same time as the rest of yours.
I have the exact same issue as the original poster. This makes the DVR completely useless. Before when searching “whats on later” to look for movies it would have both SD and HD channels listed now it only has SD. Please help us Plex team.
Same issue for me. Any scheduled recordings set to HD are not being fulfilled.
I’ve got a topic open about this issue called “Missing Guide Data” and it seems it is nothing to do with region or type of LiveTV service. Just looks like the Plex TV Guide is messed up and they need to fix it as its effecting lots of people.

The filter on my EPG seems to be the culprit. Can see the HD channels in the normal view of all channels but if I filter to show HD channels they all say “unknown airing”
Recordings don’t seem to be affected.
the filter is not at fault per se but it would appear that although the channels are in HD the guide listings are not showing the programmes as being in HD so its showing the channels with no content. That is why when you select ALL CHANNELS there is programming information in the HD channels but not when its restricted to HD ONLY
Has a fix/workaround been found?
Still unable to record any HD content from schedule.
I managed to record two movies on C4HD yesterday. It does seem that if you ignore the filtering and find the HD channels on the main guide, you can record.
