Hi why no support of the HD HomeRun Dual HDHR3-DT, not detected by Plex dvr
I too have this device (HDHR3-DT). Would be great to see if it is supported or know if it is unlikely to become supported so I can get one that is.
I too hope that the small list of tuners get expanded and I can finally shutdown my Windows MCE. I currently have a HDHR3-DT and a pair of Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2255 acting as a DVR, MCEBuddy converting it something Plex can stream. A single solution would be nice. I am optimistic because Plex continues to exceed my expectations.
Plus one on this… I have dual sat tuners and also a HDHR3-DT and would like to at least see support for the HDHR device. Thanks.

Yeah I got all excited. Too soon. I have 2 HDHR3-DT units and no go. Only DNLA tuners for some reason. Disappointed but not going to go and buy new tuners.

HDHR3-DT x2 - the others look quite hard to get here in Aus.

Support for other tuners will be investigated, however, at the moment it’s only the HDHR devices listed.
I would also like to see the HDHR3-US added to the list. It works really well with Windows MC and tvheadend but my HTPC is dying and I would like to switch to casting everything from a single solution. If Plex could get live tv and HDHR3-US support it would be perfect.
you can get the HD connect very easy in AUS there are 4 listed distributors selling them in AUS . one has stock

Yeah, kinda making my point for me there. 4 dodgy-looking online retailers, none from my state, one of which has stock?
I’m still hoping to use one of my 2 HDHR3-DTs - until I hear it’s not going to be possible, I’ll hold off on an expensive upgrade…
+1 for HDHR3-DT support … I have THREE on my existing MythTV setup, and have just started playing with Plex as a possible replacement. This is probably a dealbreaker for me. Please support these devices.
And another +1 here for HDHR3-DT support.
To avoid the problem of continually keeping up with all the different model strings, perhaps an ‘advanced’ option in the DVB config in Plex to ignore the hwmodel string and try to connect?
