I’m running the latest Plex pass linux release trying to connect to an HDHR3-US tuner, which has the latest firmware installed. I can connect to the HomeRun tuner with the windows and android apps from Silcon Valley, so I know the tuner works. However I have never been able to get Plex DVR to add the tuner. Below is an excerpt from the plex logs when I tried to connect.

Unless I’m missing something, to me it looks like Plex really does not support older models as it’s trying to request a page from the tuner that doesn’t exist at http://10.2.3.63/capability, and then it fails to be able to add the device. Several other people have posted here, and other places with having issues trying to add the same model tuner, and there has been no additional help provided.
Therfor I submit that the real issue is that Plex does not actually support this model of the HomeRun tuner. Please prove me wrong??
I don’t doubt your findings but I have four of the old SiliconDust HDHomeRun HDHR-US Dual (white) model and I was able to setup one with Plex DVR.
I use them with different software so it was more of a proof of concept then anything else. I didn’t give it much of a test run but I was at least able to configure the tuner .

Are they all the same model/version or do you have different ones?
So far from what I’ve found online, I can specifically point to HDHR3-US that I’ve seen at least 1 or two other posts on the web with people that haven’t been able to get them setup in Plex. And a few more posts that don’t list the exact model number, but could be the same. I’m sure some other older models do work. But I would love to know if anyone with an HDHR3-US has been able to get theirs working in plex?
Also it only takes one model to not be working to invalidate Plex’s claim of “All” models working.
I have a HDHR3-US:

Did not currently have it configured in my main Plex Server but added it to show it is configured and shows are recording using it.
Plex has used this one of mine before:

Now I’ve got two Extends for Plex and the Dual went back to EyeTV
@HighWing Exactly what version of PMS are you using?
I am having the same problem. I have 2 hdhr3-us that work with other software but not with PMS. PMS finds the tuners but will not scan and add them.
PMS Version 1.9.1.4272
hdhr3-us:
Model: HDHR3-US
Device ID: 1036F851
Firmware: 20170815
Another post said something about opening ports to get it to work, not sure which ports or if this is the correct work around. I would like to use my existing hardware that by the chart appears to be compatible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
