Two community members over at TMDB have convinced the moderators to remove the Fear the Walking Dead specials from the main show and create a standalone series for them.

The reason for requesting this change is that AMC list the web series separately on their website and in their eyes that constitutes and separate show listing. TMDB in their bible states → Seasons - TV Bible — The Movie Database (TMDB) If the network creates a separate page for the spin-off webseries, a new show should be created instead of adding the episodes as specials.
Regardless of why the change is being made and if you agree or disagree with it there will be an effect in plex if your using TMDB episode listings. The Dead in the Water episodes where deleted from specials yesterday and I firmly expect the others to be deleted soon. That will (eventually) result in unmatched episodes and your played status being effected (Plex Episodes changing from played to unplayed due to online metadata source change) on your plex server if you have named them to match the specials.
