Regards old grey haired person
Naming the files isn’t rocket science.
There’s very straight forward guides on how to name…
- your movies → https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-movie-media-files/
- tv shows → https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/
- music → https://support.plex.tv/articles/200265296-adding-music-media-from-folders/
Make sure not to mix them up and point…
- a movie library to a folder that contains your movie directories and files
- a tv-show library to a folder that contains your tv-show directories and files
For any assistance, best provide a brief overview of your current setup and status:
- what libraries did you setup in Plex
- to what folder are they pointing
- how are those media files named and organized inside the folders from #2
ive pointed them to folders on my pc…users/video/tv series ut still wont pick them up
example. on my pc ive put in c: users/video/tv series but wont pick or upload them from this destination/folder
are you following the official schema for the tv-show folder structure and file naming (see above)?
May I suggest that you put the media on the NAS (not your PC) as well. That might simply some things.
There have to be several step by step videos on YouTube setting up Plex on a QNAP NAS. You’re probably not going to get simpler instructions how how to set things up.
It’s just going to take some time to learn the lingo if this (running a Plex server) is what you want.
