Having real problems. Plex Media Server stopped updating new files. I erroneously deleted the Media Server, I thought I could reinstall & start again. Now I can’t even install the Media Server. I’ve downloaded the current version but all to no avail. Does anyone have a fix that I could try please? By the way I’m no Plex genius I’m just a user. I’d like to keep Plex but if I have to look at alternatives then I’ll try something new, though after umpteen years of using Plex it would be a shame.

Would you mind sharing some more details as for what you did and what isn’t working?
If you want to start over, there’s a procedure describing which files to delete from your Mac’s “Application Support” directory.
Once you deleted those files, restarting the Plex Media Server app should give you a clean slate when accessing it via http://127.0.0.1:32400/web (from the same Mac).
I’d noticed new items weren’t being picked up by the server. I’d decided, probably stupidly, to delete & reinstall. That’s where everything went wrong. Thanks for the delete process. I’ll follow that through tomorrow & completely wipe everything off. At the moment am using Emby & it’s not as user friendly as Plex but does most of what I want. Thanks again.
