Google wifi port forwarding is in the Google Home app.
Wifi>Network Settings>Advanced Networking>Port Management
Hit the + sign to create a new port forward rule> pick the synology (if it does not list by name pick by IP address) > pick an external port number > enter 32400 for internal port number> you only need TCP > then save the rule.
If you are stuck in some particular step please provide info how your network is.
Thanks Bigwheel
I have created a port forward rule under 32400 for my Synology Nas, unfortunatly Plex is still not available outside my network.
I have a broadband modem connected to a Google Wifi Pro which is then connected to a switch. Which then connects to the server.
If you enter the external port you used at canyouseeme.org does it successfully ping your server?
Error: I could not see your service on 203.123.106.1 on port (3200)
Reason: Connection timed out
should that be 32400 ?
Which ISP do you have? Do you know if they put you on a CGNAT? This causes a double nat. two networks but you don’t have access to their equipment. Sometimes ISP will let you have a static IP just for your self if you call them to ask but they may charge for it.
It should be 32400
thanks. I’m back with Superloop who Plex used to used to work through without a staticip. They have told me I’m on a CGNAT and my only option is a staticip at $5 a month. They did try forcing a new ip address, and now Plex states it’s fully accessible outside my network but I can’t access it. What can I try next or do I have to pay for a static ip?
