HELP: Synology DSM 7 cannot claim server, everything is up to date

I’m new to plex and synology. I have searched all over the internet but cannot find this issue.

I have a Synology DS220+ running the most up to date version of plex (1.40.1.8227), When I login to my PMS (ip.of.synology:32400/web), I select my icon, enter my pin, and then go to my movies with a caution symbol, where it offers me the option to claim my server

It then takes me to this page:

I know it says to update plex but I have already done the manual install to the most recent version using the steps provided and on my synology it says it is running the above version.

When I click claim server on the above page it just loads for a few seconds and then goes back to the exact same page.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do here?

If you have more than one Ethernet connection to the NAS, then make sure you bond the connections in DSM Control Panel > Network > Network Interface > Create > Create Bond.

Alternatively, disconnect all but one Ethernet connection.

Go to Plex Settings > Network > Preferred network interface and set the Interface/IP Address there.

Also, reboot your modem/router and everything connected to it and then retry claiming your Plex server.

The Plex package for Synology (DSM 7) has the ability to claim during installation.

I am facing the same problem with my Synology DS218+ but I can’t find the option DSM Control Panel > Network > Network Interface > Create > Create Bond in Synology.
I am using the latest DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 6 and I just want to start fresh with a new Plesk server, but it is not allowing me to claim the server.

Any other ideas?

The DS218 only has 1 network port so there isn’t a second one to bond.

Here’s a simple test… Can you open package center and search for then add any of the packages ?
