Hisense 65Q8 - Plex app has disappeared

Likewise on my 65Q8 in Australia. Cannot get the Plex app back after trying all the different methods listed here

Hisense let us know that there was an issue on their end and it should be fixed now. If you’re still experiencing issues please let me know the model and and county so I can pass the information to Hisense to investigate further.

I spoke with a Hisense support rep today. He listened to my complaint about the Plex app disappearing, and the anomalies with the User Manual, and he recommended a full factory reset.
This involved entering a hidden menu and he walked me through the complete reset (which took several operations).
Of course I then had to completely set up the tv again - country, date, time, channel scan, log in to Neflix, etc., etc, (I lost all my screen calibration settings as well).
Long story short, at the end of it all, there was still NO PLEX APP!!!

The only way I can see that they can fix it is to issue another firmware update.
BTW, I haven’t check the tv in the last 4 or 5 hours.

IT’S BACK!!!
The Plex Player app is back on my Hisense 65Q8 TV.

Any of you having issues recently? Plex keeps telling me my servers are offline or unreachable, but I could access them from my other devices…

Yep, I’ve been having this issue the past few days. I’ve tried every single troubleshooting thing I can find, but have had no success.

My plex app disappeared before but returned. It has now disappeared again :frowning:

Same here. 55Q8 in Australia. I just spoke to Hisense support and was told Plex isnt on the Q8 App list and he didnt know if or when it would be fixed. Not much help really for a tech support line. Most unsatisfactory.
Have you had any more recent feedback from Hisense?

markus101, who is a Plex employee/monitor, contacted Hisense, when this problem first came up several months ago, and Hisense appeared to solve the problem.
Markus would definitely be the best person to contact Hisense and hopefully have the current problem resolved.

We reached out to Hisense regarding the app disappearing again, they mentioned a short outage a few days ago that may have affected the availability of the Plex app, but that has since been resolved.

If you’re still having issues with the app missing today (where is previously existed), please let me know.

There are some models/regions that do not have the Plex app available for technical reasons which Hisense is addressing via platform updates.

Like others in this thread - It disappeared about a week ago. From both my applications and from the APP store.

Any assistance on this one would be much appreciated
