VR is the new fad. Companies are pushing things to be VR compatible without any consideration as to whether or not they “should” be.
Just like 3D which every decade or two is touted as the next big thing whereas until they fix the issue of having to wear those stupid glasses 3D never going to be successful. You would think that they had learned the lesson from 3D as those stupid VR headsets are the reason why VR will never be successful.
@cayars I believe the main problem that Plex has is, that there is no clear roadmap available for everyone. People (also myself) are waiting for a couple of specific features but nobody knows when they might come or not. As soon as I am receiving a new blogpost mail, I am checking it for new features and I am “disappointed” that none of my personal wishes are on it.
A good example for “how Plex handles feedback” is the Feature Request List. It was last maintained in may 2017. Now we have 2018.
Maybe you could raise that “public roadmap” internally again? Personally I believe that this would reduce the complains a lot.
I’m not discounting anything you said by only selecting this one quote. I just wanted to specifically comment on it.

The fact that it works doesn’t mean it works as it should. For example - you can use TMDb collections data, the FAQ claims that “This may cause many unwanted collections to be automatically created, particularly collections where you only have one item.” I don’t believe there’s no way of preventing that. For example - they could give the admin the ability to set the minimum required number of items to create a collection. If we don’t have some kind of way to automate things like that, then we basically got tags and a fancy way of presenting them
.
I had suggested to the devs a “solution”/compromise that I think is worth having. Since we know the collection process will pull in single collections allow the admin to set the MINIMUM number used for a collection to show. It could be TWO or THREE as the default but allow the user to change it.
This way none of the single collection items are displayed. You could easily experiment to see if you like collections best with 2 or 3 movies in it.
I’m rambling. I know
.
I’ve been know to do that a few times myself. LOL
