I am getting the same thing when sending an invite to my Dad.
I’m also receiving this error inviting new people to my plex server.
I’m also having the same issue.
Maybe this is a new bug?

Invited friend:
- Login web PLEX Account
- Go “Users & sharing”
- “Friend”, you friend who send invite - accept
Please PM me the email of the person you are trying to invite.

^^ For anybody experiencing this issue. The underlying issue reported at the start of this has been fixed so if you are having issues, there may be something else going on. The last few people that have PM’d me, it has turned out the user was either trying to accept the invitation from the wrong account or they hadn’t completed the steps to create a Plex account.
Also having this issue, user signed up through Google login. Nothing works.
Yes I too am having the issue with a new user. Does anyone or does Plex support offer any suggestions as to why this is happening. More importantly is there a work around that actually works.
I fixed my issue!!!
So I created the account that I was going to share with someone. We had them sign in on their phone so they could link and via the browser too.
When I went to add the invite from my server it looked like it was auto filling their account and gave me a green check mark. I thought that sure was cool, I didn’t have to complete the email address to find them.
Long story short, I entered the entire email address and then selected share, copy the link and it work as designed. I am going to assume that the link is tied to the account name you put in place. Hope this helps others.
Yes. I mentioned this earlier. The Plex account accepting the invitation must be the same one that was invited.
Double check the email. See my comment above. If you are sure you are using the correct email, PM me that email so I can check.
I’m also having this issue when inviting a friend of mine. Would someone on the Plex team mind assisting? I’ve tried deleting/resending the invite multiple times to no avail.

I don’t see any pending invites for your account. PM me the Plex username or email of the person trying to share with you.
