You must have a Movies folder and a TV Shows folder and a movie library entry pointing at the movies folder and a TV library pointing at the TV Shows folder (https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200288926-Creating-Libraries) . Movie library uses the IMDB to get names/metadata, the TV library uses the TVDB names/metadata. Using both is required and will solve nearly all your naming/metadata problems.

i get that, but i dont want naming/metadata for tv shows that are in the movie folder. i want to click a folder like family guy and hit remove all naming/metadate. click on a folder and hit unmatch all. to remove what every naming/metadata problems.

Create a new library of the type ‘Other Videos’
point it to your files

You may have to Plex Dance some shows which are not recognised yet.

Drawbacks of this method:
No file will get metadata. Only the embedded metadata are used (only in mp4 files)
local extras cannot be used.
Plex won’t track which episode of a series is next in line.

That being said: with the right ‘helper software’ it is quite easy to name your files correctly, so all the metadata are working.
Take a look at theRenamer or Filebot

thats a LOT OF WORK. all i want to do is click on a folder and hit unmatch all. to remove what every naming/metadata in that folder for family guy, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Game of Thrones and more. is there some way of doing this?

delete your current movie library.
create a new one (type: ‘Other Videos’) and point it to the folder.
