hello i downloaded the tenacious d movie no problem got it matched and on my server but when i downloaded the tenacious d hbo tv series it wont show up at all when i scan my library do you know why? sorry if this is the wrong place to ask im new on the platform
Please show your naming and directory structure for the TV show (directory listing, screenshot, etc).
Plex is picky with TV show naming and organization. Follow the recommended structure and naming.
Example: /TV Shows/Tenacious D/Season 01/Tenacious D - s01e01.mkv
No mixing movies and TV shows in the same library. They must be in the correct library type for Plex to recognize them.
If Plex does not recognize the files after renaming and reorganizing, Plex Dance the entire show. This removes any faulty metadata from the Plex Media Server database.

hello i followed the instructions of the plex dance and also renamed and double checked it still doesnt scan when i click scan tv shows
my harddrive only has 2 library for optimal structuring the dir for the show is
E:\TV shows\Tenacious D\Season 1

Plex matches TV shows against TheTVDB.com.
If your files match MasterClass as listed on TheTVDB, then you add them just like any other TV show.
If they do not, then add them as Personal Media Files.
Review the Plex documentation on naming and structuring media: Plex Documentation → Your Media. It will show you how to name and structure your media.
FYI, your naming for Tenacious D as shown in the last screenshot does not match Plex documentation (the show name should appear before sxxeyy in the file name). You basically got lucky that it worked. Follow the Plex Docs as closely as possible to get the best chance of matching the online databases.
