There is a movie missing from the Plex database “Formula 51” with Samuel L, Jackson.

How do I enter it?
For some reason tmdb shows it as “The 51st State.” The 51st State (2001) — The Movie Database (TMDB)
I think the movie should be available.

Sometimes you need to match or fix match and then click search and mess around with name and year. For example I found movies like 9, 1408, 300 all won’t match unless I search for them by ‘1408 the movie’ basically just add “the movie” to the end.
That workaround sounds… weird. But if it’s been working for you… great 
Generally, it should help if you include some matching hints to the file names (or when manually matching an item) – the most basic matching hint is to include the year a movie was released (e.g. 9 (2009)). With same-named movies released in the same or adjacent years, it could be an option to include an ID from one of the big online repositories (for movies: IMDb and TMDb; for tv-shows: TMDb and TheTVDb – e.g. 9 (2009) {tmdb-12244}).

I do have all of my files named “Movie (year) [rating] [resolution]” and everything matches perfectly fine except movies that are just numbers for a title. Adding the imdb code would probably fix it but I’ve never tried it.
I’ve needed to “play” with a number of my ~ 3,000 movies to get them in PLEX, BUT this is a first! If you play the movie, the title that shows up on the screen is “formula 51”, but as the first two folks replied - in PLEX it’s there as “THE 51st STATE”. My DVD Jacket says ‘formula 51’ and the picture is the same as the one in PLEX for the other movie.
It’s the same movie but it’s been released under some alternative titles.
It seems the movie was released as „Formula 51“ in Canada. The original US title was „The 51st State“, but there’s been some releases as „Formula 51“ too (probably same as your DVD.
If you prefer the Canadianor US DVD title, why not simply overwrite/edit the title in the web app and lock the field to prevent future metadata refreshing from changing it back.
It’s really not a big deal now that I understand what happened. If it’s in the PLEX database under a different name, that’s OK. I was concerned it was there and was trying to see how to get it added for everyone.
Also, last night I read the fine print on the back cover. It lists the Production Company as being in Canada and their name is “51st State Productions”. Seems to be a play on words. Thanks for the help!
