I have Plex on my PC currently and use my Roku to stream it on my home wireless network…has worked forever but My son wanted to watch a movie on his Xbox One in the game room…Can anyone help me in how to set that up so he can do that…? Thanks in advance.
If your server is setup for remote access (Which is necessary for the Xbox to be able to find the server because it is not allowed to browse the local network) there really is only a few steps:
1)Install and open the app on the Xbox One
2)It will give you a 4 digit pin to add to your account at plex.tv/pin (This will link the Xbox Live account to your Plex account)
3)After you enter the code in the website, the app should proceed automatically forward where it should bring you to a user selection screen (if you have plex home enabled) or straight to the discovery hubs windows where you can start browsing for your movies.
