I’ve played the videos using vlc and they sound great but when I cast them to a chromecast it snaps crackles and pops through out the entire movie. I’ve changed all types of setting and it still keeps happening. I’ll be truly grateful if anybody could help me out with this.

1st off, how does it sound when you play through plex on your phone or tablet direct? does it still crackle? if not it could be your tv. check your tv Audio settings on that specific input that chromecast is plugged into.
if it does crackle playing plex through your phone or tablet then something is wrong in plex.
