How do I unmatch metadata on a TV show?

I’ve got an obscure TV downloaded. Season 1 shows up just fine, however, season 2 is showing as Season 1. When I go to manually edit the metadata for the first episode of season 2, it also changes the metadata for the first episode of season 1. I’ve tried clicking the refresh metadata button, and that doesn’t work, and there’s no unmatch option anymore. What’s the best way to fix that?

Under the info tab when editing the metadata, it’s showing that there’s 2 files for the episode.

First step for fixing issues like this is to verify the naming and folder organization.
Whether the show is actually “match-able” doesn’t matter.
Please show your actual folder structure and file names.

Make sure that the Plex library is pointing exactly to the folder ...Videos/TV Shows

Please follow my link. Your episode files need to have the SxxEyy code in their name, instead of the simple episode number they have now.

Change that, then "Scan Library Files again.
If that doesn’t change anything, perform the Plex Dance.

P.S: your show has still good chances of a match: The Anna Nicole Show - TheTVDB.com

Okay, I’ll try that out.

And yes, Season 1 comes up fine, but Season 2 wasn’t actually ever released, and I had a really hard time finding in the first place.

I would also remove the extraneous “Episodes” folder

Yeah, just did that.

Whoops, totally missed that! Indeed.

So, just to make sure I understand. It should look like

C:\users\Albert Grominsky\Videos\TV Shows\Anna Nicole Show\Season 1\s01e01
For season 1 episode 1

and

C:\users\Albert Grominsky\Videos\TV Shows\Anna Nicole Show\Season 1\s02e01
For season 2 episode 1

s01e01 is not a folder name. It should go into the place of the simple epsiode number in your file names.

\TV Shows
   \The Anna Nicole Show (2002)
      \Season 01
         s01e01 - House Hunting.mp4
         ...
      \Season 02
         s02e01 - Anna and the Bachelors - Live!.mp4
         ...

I recomend you to use 2-digit season numbers everywhere.

Alright. So I’m renaming the files themselves,

s01e01 - House Hunting.mkv
s02e01 - Anna and The Bachelors.mp4

Precisely.

Okay… that’s what I thought. So, how would you recommend naming the bonus content? It’s a big mess right now… Should I just add them in after the episodes, as in [ s01e15 - Bonus Stuff.mkv ] or would you recommend a different format?

The choice is largely yours.
There are a few bonus episodes in Season 00: The Anna Nicole Show - Aired Order - Specials - TheTVDB.com

Alternatively, you could also add them as “local extras”, if they don’t need any metadata: Local Files for TV Show Trailers and Extras | Plex Support

Okay! Thank you for your patience and help. I’m not all that tech savvy! Lol

So. Now I’m struggling the get the bonus content sorted. Lol. I’ve put in the folder as it says in the link you sent and renamed them using the same format +deleted at the end. They’re not showing up at all.

Please show the folder location and file names, as before.

Originally I tried them in a folder called “Deleted Scenes” and then I moved them to the main folder. They’re not showing up at all.

Please show me exactly the folder location, their names and file names, as before.
