You can share with as many accounts as you like with or without a Plex Pass subscription
If you mean how many accounts can you add to your Plex Home. it is 15. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/sections/200641063-Plex-Home
what is the premium package in terms of users that u can add.
Thanks
I mean plex pass subscription.
Plex Home is a feature of a Plex Pass subscription which you can add up to 15 users to. It is not “per server”. Please see previously provided link
Other wise like I said before you can share with as many users as you want.
Here is my scope:
#Is Plex server can be used for commercial. Is there a commercial license available for Plex.
#We want to host a dedicated server where my friend client can watch there wedding and funerals all around the world who cannot attend so he want to create a private user name and password for each users so that is why I am asking about maximum is there a maximum user authentications available for Plex.
#Is plex can customize the software for our needs if we pay money.
Please kindly assist.
I have already answered your question twice. Putting the question in huge orange text does not change the answer.
accounts are not created per server
you can share with as many as you want.
sharing does not require a Plex Pass
Your friends around the world can create their own Plex account or you can make Plex accounts for them. Then you can share your wedding/funerals/etc library with as many of those accounts as you want.
The only other type of accounts are Plex Home Managed users which I have already given you information on in the previously given link. but it sounds like that would not work for you.
thank you sir I don’t know my messed up browser put in orange. Sorry about
that sir.
Hello guys,
Is there any way to get “Scheduled user-friends access”, lets say, I want to give access to some of my friends, to my Plex libraries for certain time, lets say 7 or 14 days? Or some kind of Plex user management system to use as a standalone script? Found it last year somewhere but I lost all of my bookmarks…
Thank you, Vesna:-)

This type of functionality isn’t available inside of plex.
You could simply delete the share to the friend after 14 days.
For a few friends this wouldn’t be hard to do, unless you have dozens of “friends” you plan to do this with

This sounds suspiciously like you want to give someone a “free trial” before you start charging for access to a server/content. Please be aware that anything like that would be a violation of our Terms of Service.
The ability to share your server/library is intended to be used for family and close, personal friends.
Thank you for your answers…Chris C. - No, not “charging” and no “free trial”… Why would I use Plex for monetization, there are many other ways to do it as you know. I need to use it for wedding planning, birthday celebration videos and similar events. That way I can enable access to my family members, friends and customers so they can see sample videos, etc and I don’t have to worry about expiration…If I buy Plex Premium, I should be able to share my videos without limitations?
A Plex Pass subscription will allow you to restrict shares by Content Rating or Labels, but doesn’t otherwise affect sharing.
Be aware that things have changed since this thread was originally started: Your account can now share with up to 100 other Plex accounts. Once you share with 100 people, you will no longer be able to create any new shares until you remove previous shares to get you below 100.
100 is plenty…Many thanks:-)
How to get more then 100? Why have a limit on something, when ppl pay for plex pass?
Just wondering…

Excessive numbers of shares can affect our servers, which in turn can affect Plex for other users. We believe that 100 is extremely generous for the intended purpose of our sharing functionality (family and close, personal friends).
Hey Chris C, there are situations where it could become a hundred or more and still be totally legit. I teach a course on federal government construction, and share videos from my live 3 day event using plex because the average person is going to assume this is some ultra cool tool I use to feed them content, but really, I’m using it for the plexpy analytics so I can manage and see if anyone is sharing my content. Plus it’s extremely difficult to get the video file downloaded through plex, you’d essentially have to use a screen recorder to get my stuff. Though I have to agree, that would be rare, and even my use case is less than 10 at a time roughly.
What worries me, is that I fit the same use case that someone who may have wanted to provide a free trial for paid access. Man I would love to give my clients an unmanaged 7 day trial to my videos on plex and not have to manage that manually. I have over 11,000 subscribers on Aweber, and I would hit them with that tomorrow if it was available. Plus as you can see, I could be an influencer on more brand awareness of plex.tv
It not that it is designed to prevent someone from using it in a legitimate and legal way. Just the way things work it actually does take a toll on our servers that run the back end as chris mentioned.

Then let us add more than 100 people but only like 50 active streams. Having users on your list doesn’t hurt your servers thats nonsence. You are saying that because i have a 100 on my list all 100 people are actively streaming at the same time 24/7. Dont cap the people… cap the stream. the thing that actually tolls your servers. capping the amount of people makes no sense.

It has nothing to do with how many people are actively streaming. The number of people you share with (whether or not they are actively streaming) does affect things.
Regardless, we’ve made a decision about how many shares are allowed. We’ve also implemented a way for users to contact us and discuss possible exceptions (information on doing so is displayed if you hit the limit and try to add a new share).
