How to add TV and Music to Movie Collection?

I love the idea of a single collection with movies, TV shows and sound tracks (and maybe even audio books!). However, I have been completely unable to figure out how to create such a combined collection. So far, I’m guessing that I might be required to remove all of my existing collections and re-create them so that they support the new, combined collection feature and that is not an appealing solution. When I tried to add a TV show to a movie collection, I see NO COLLECTIONS existing and am offered an opportunity to CREATE a collection with the same name as the movie collection where I want to put the TV show! (I even used Star Wars, just like what was shown in the announcement!)

Is there a new page in the Plex online documentation that explains this new capability and, if so, could someone help me find it? Thanks!

I forgot to mention that I’m trying to do this through app.plex.tv/desktop

I started with a collection tag for movies ( then included the ones for the collection) Then went to tv shows and created the same tag name.

^^^ just edit the album and add a new collection tag on the ‘Tags’ tab that is named exactly like your collection in the movie library.

Make sure you are on a server that has software version 1.11

Thanks! I was worried that creating the “same” collection more than once could either replace the existing collection with the new one or cause some confusion. If the same name “magically” links the two collections together as one, I think we have found an interface improvement just waiting to happen. :slight_smile:
