How to change the encoding on Plex Windows Player ?
Hello all
Im using Cyrilic subs and they dont work only on Plex for windows player.(I need to change the encoding to see the letters proper ,like in 90% of the video players)
But i cant find a option to change the encoding there.
Im streaming from my Plex server and they work fine on Plex Web Player and any other device i stream from my server ,but not in Plex for Windows App.
Apparently you didnt understand me.They using it and same subs work fine when i stream from my server to web app, as well from my server to my tablet and my phone.
They dont work only on Plex Media Player. And since im acknowledge with this problem before with video players , i need to change encoding on the player to Cyrilic.
EDIT: Just to be sure , i manually changed UTF-8 text encoding of 1 sub file and put it again on my server and refreshed the data manually … still the same … not work only on Plex Media Player…I see incorrect letters…in everything else is fine.
Here is something to try, if you use the latest Windows 10 build:
Go to the Windows control panel
Time & Language
Language (left side)
Administrative language settings
Language for non-Unicode programs - Change system locale
Don’t actually change the language there, but merely activate the checkbox
‘Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support’
