How to change Zipcode (to change guide)?

I have both an Amazon Recast and a SiliconDust Quatro, which is connected to Plex and the Plex DVR. And I have a Plex Pass. On the Recast and the Quatro there are channels I can view live, and can record on the Recast, but which do not appear in the Plex DVR channel guide and, therefore, cannot be recorded. From scanning various comments in these forums I’ve learned that changing the zipcode assigned to (my account???) will change what guide is used. What I cannot figure out is where/how to change the zipcode. Suggestions appreciated .

Incidentally, we have found the Recast to be “not ready for prime time.” There’s no useful documentation, it’s quirky, relying on Alexa to search is painful, and being used to perform testing that should have been done by the development team is insulting. If I have to go to that much effort, it makes more sense to build my own. Thus, Plex!

I believe you have to delete the DVR and re-add it – that’s where you’re prompted for your zip code as it relates to the guide data that you will receive.

Are there any side effects to deleting the DVR, e.g., recordings are also deleted? Just being cautious…

Recordings are not deleted; however, I can’t recall if your recording schedule is deleted. Just to make sure, make a note of any scheduled / series recordings you currently have set up.

Hmmm. Have a bunch of those. Need to think about that. Thank you very much for the assistance.

I’ve deleted and readded my DVR numbers times and all scheduled shows are always added back. But as mentioned by @darcilicious, make now of your recordings. Also, if you manually mapped channels, you will have to remap them manually if they don’t get auto detected or are wrong

Took the plunge. Worked just as you said it would. Got the missing channels.
