I’m a new Plex user. Simple question I hope. I do NOT have any trailers on my hard drive. But I like to watch the trailer for the movie im going to play, before I watch the movie. I do have plex pass, I am wondering how to enable this? How can I watch the trailer of the movie I have selected?
Edit the library, choose Advanced, check the box to Find Extras, save changes.
Then refresh the metadata for the entire library (Refresh All Metadata).
After the metadata refresh you should see trailers/extras on the movie pre-play screen. Screenshot below is from Plex for Windows.
Trailers are not available for all movies.

Oh boy, I do see that option, but its only available when selecting Plex for the media agent. I currently have selected TMDB because I originally had my files named based on TMDB and so I’m wondering, now that all the titles are “matched” if I change the media agent from TMDB to Plex, what will happen?
Go to
Settings - Server - Agent - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
Make sure the line Plex Movie (Legacy) has a check mark.
Then “Refresh Metadata” of the movie.
