How to report Bugs in Live TV Scanner?

Server Version#: Version 1.18.1.1973
Player Version#: N/A

I reinstalled Plex Media Server on my NAS box running Linux Mint 19.2 (Ubuntu 18.04)
I signed up for Plex Pass and configured my TV Tuners to record Live TV.
Everything appears to work with regards to recording and playing TV shows.
However, the naming is not correct on some shows.
My Library was built using another recording software which recorded the shows differently.
There are 3 shows affected:

  1. Bob Hearts Abishola (2019)
  2. Magnum PI (2018)
  3. Pandora (2019)

My existing library recorded the shows this way:
Note: I am adding quotes for clarification, the quotes are not actually part of the name

Folder: “Bob Hearts Abishola”
Files:
Bob.Hearts.Abishola.S01E01.Pilot.ts
Bob.Hearts.Abishola.S01E02.Nigerians.Dont.Do.Useless.Things.ts

Plex records the same show this way:

Folder: “Bob (Hearts) Abishola (2019)”
Subfolder: “Season 01”
Files:
Bob (Hearts) Abishola (2019) - S01E06 - Ralph Lauren and Fish.ts

This is not a problem, however, the scanner reads them differently.
The Scanner reads the older files correctly, but the episode that Plex just recorded is now being displayed as the Bob Newhart show “Bob” from 1992.

I uploaded a picture of the my TV Library with the two icons

Bob

I have not recorded Magnum PI using Plex Live TV yet, but the scanner shows this show as the old 1970’s Magnum PI with Tom Selleck.

Anyway. If someone could assist me b y pointing me to the correct method to get this fixed, I would appreciate it.

For Bob (Hearts) Abishola specifically, you can likely work around this issue by using TheMovieDB agent for your DVR TV library. It appears the combination of Plex/TheTVDB does not handle this series very well.

As for Magnum P.I. and Pandora, it looks like the new series are the highest match with TheMovieDB when spelled as shown in the guide, so you should be good there.

To change agents for your DVR TV library, edit it and select the Advanced options. Set Agent to The Movie Database. You may have to rescan your library and/or fix match the series before the changes will take effect.

Thanks for the response.
I did change the agent for TV shows to the movie database and refreshed the metadata, but it did not work.
I kept googling and found the FixMatch process and used that to fix all of the shows.
Hopefully it will stick.
